ABSTRACT
Skills development remains critical in realizing the potential of every human being anywhere in the world as well as being the foundation of human growth. Likewise, in the 4th industrialization, skills development can be a panacea to improving and developing construction workers competencies and abilities optimize the benefits. However, less attention has been given to the skills set required in the construction industry in the 4IR. This chapter focuses on the skills set development for the 4th Industrial Revolution in the construction industry. This chapter adopted multiple approaches, including a critical review of existing literature-based from search engines and databases, notably Google Scholar, Scopus, and Web of Science. On this basis, some challenges and strategies were identified for skill development.
