ABSTRACT

Energy issues have always been one of the most important problems plaguing global development problems. Lithium-ion batteries, as one of the most important clean energy storage devices, are now being used more and more widely. With the development of power systems, the demand for high energy density, high reliability, and high cycle life of the lithium-ion battery is more and more urgent. Among them, high-energy-density lithium-ion batteries have become the energy materials with the most potential to replace power batteries due to their small size, high energy, environmental protection, and being pollution-free.

This chapter first proposes the development status of lithium-ion batteries, then by introducing the composition of lithium-ion batteries, the working principle and basic parameters of lithium-ion batteries is explored, and then the realization path of high-energy-density lithium-ion batteries from the microscopic and macroscopic points of view is introduced. Finally, future power system development is offered.
