ABSTRACT

In the process of urbanization in China, the conservation of historical buildings is essential for urban civilization. When the point-like distribution of historical buildings hinders the major construction projects of city, a win-win situation between the conservation of historical building and the development of city can be achieved by translating, protecting and reconstructing the adaptive space environment. Taking Daosheng Shop as an example, this paper analyzes and studies the current situation assessment, overall design, translation design, reinforcement, repair and reuse of Daosheng Shop in the whole process of conservation with the whole-process conservation thinking, so as to enrich the examples of historical building conservation and provide a reference for the conservation of similar historical buildings.
