ABSTRACT

As a way of internal curing, Super absorbent polymer (SAP) can reduce the autogenous shrinkage of cement-based materials, prevent early cracking, and improve the crack resistance and mechanical properties of cement-based materials. Based on the experience of concrete internal curing, the influence of SAP on the performance of recycling samples of waste asphalt is studied. The results show that the shrinkage coefficient of recycling samples with SAP is less than that of ordinary recycling samples, and the shrinkage coefficient decreases with the increase of SAP content. After adding SAP, the compressive strength of recycling samples increases, but the compressive strength decreases with the increase of SAP content due to the porosity after SAP releasing water. While SAP content is 0.3%, the splitting strength of recycling samples is higher than that of ordinary recycling samples. While the content of material is further increased, it is not conducive to the enhancement of splitting strength.
