ABSTRACT

Isodon rugosus is distributed widely throughout the northern temperate regions of the Himalaya and grow up to 1–5 ft tall. Stems are erect with rather slim quadrangular verdant branches. The medicinal properties are contributed by various parts of the plants. This plant has several properties such as anti-pyretic, anthelmintic, anti-aging, anti-nociceptive, antibacterial, analgesic and antioxidant due to the presence of several bioactive phytochemicals such as heptenal, N-butylpropargylamine, octanoic acid, 2-decenal, 2,4-decadienal, decanedioic acid, hexadecanoic acid, ethyl ester, linoleic acid ethyl ester, 9-octadecenoic acid, ethyl ester, 1,2-benzenedicar-boxylic acid and bis(2-ethylhexyl) ester.
