ABSTRACT

Quality control in simple terms is the measurement of critical control points and quality points that have the possibility to affect products, performance, production, or increase cost. In the era we are currently in, most developed nations have started using IoT and automation to improve their quality control processes or practices. Therefore, with multiple research projects conducted in recent years by industries that are using IoT and automation to enhance their quality control processes, this document was put together to compare and see how this practice can be used in a developing nation like PNG. For it to be a successful innovation, especially in the quality control field, more skilled workers must be trained since there will be a risk of unemployment, specifically the unskilled or under-skilled workforce in a developing nation. Now that we have more trained people compared to what the country produced before, I believe the innovation of IoT and automation can be rolled out properly.
