ABSTRACT

The analysis of deformation characteristics of dam materials is an unavoidable technical difficulty in the engineering design of CFRDs (concrete face rockfill dams). Based on the compression test results of five kinds of rockfill materials with different lithologies in a large-scale hydropower station, this paper analyzes the porosity, breakage, immersion deformation and compression modulus of rockfill materials, the deformation characteristics and rules of different dam materials are summarized, which can be used for reference in the design of dam materials for similar CFRDs.
