Aiming at the problems of dynamics behavior is not perfect between the flying gangue and the bottom plate of working face in steeply dipping seam, The goal of this study is to understand the working face of the flying gangue of longwall mining in steeply dipping seam, and based on distinct element method (DEM), the motion model of flying gangue is established. By using numerical simulation, the motion character for flying gangue of longwall mining working face in steeply dipping seam is systematically studied. The accurate calculation for motion of flying gangue will provide a reliable theory basis for improving control technology of flying gangue and ensuring safe mining in a steeply dipping seam.
