ABSTRACT

In order to objectively and accurately evaluate the present situation and level of municipal engineering construction in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, and explore the direction of future municipal engineering construction according to the evaluation results. In this paper, the evaluation index system of municipal engineering construction in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area is constructed by combining aerial survey data and urban attribute information data. The index system dynamically evaluates and analyzes the municipal engineering construction of 11 cities in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area. The results show that:1) the overall level of municipal engineering construction in the Greater Bay Area is above the medium level, among which Hong Kong, Macao, Guangzhou, and Shenzhen rank high. Other cities might consider borrowing its ideas for municipal engineering. 2) The construction of a municipal civilization project is a first-level core index affecting municipal engineering construction. Per capita water resources, urbanization rate, and centralized treatment rate of urban domestic sewage are the second-level core indicators affecting port competitiveness.
