ABSTRACT

Seismicity is a complex natural phenomenon that has not been able to accurately predict the time, place, and intensity of earthquake, let alone prevent it from happening. The prevention and control of earthquake disaster risk is a very comprehensive work, involving basic investigation and detection, scientific understanding and modeling in various evaluation links, seamless connection between various investigation, evaluation and evaluation products, and relevant governance measures. It involves a wide range of disciplines such as geoscience, engineering science, management science, social behavior, which requires scientific research institutions, professional departments, and governments at all levels. Only when social organizations form a joint force, they can produce effective results in reducing losses caused by earthquake disasters. In this academic paper, some kinds of earthquakes, as well as many hazards of earthquakes, are discussed. It also focuses on some effective measures and solutions for earthquake prevention. These measures can effectively alleviate the damage caused by earthquakes in the future.
