ABSTRACT

To study the mechanical properties of the film-bag sand cofferdam under the action of a geotextile hoop, the theoretical derivation of the film-bag sand enhancement mechanism is carried out. Via theoretical calculations, the relationship between the height of the membrane sand body bag and the tension of the geo-sand bag is proposed, and the relationship between the shape of the sandbag and its weight and the external load is further deduced, as well as the hoop effect of the geo-sand bag on the filled sand is verified on the influence of the overall shear strength of the internal sand body.
