ABSTRACT
At present, China is implementing the rural revitalization strategy, and rural settlements are being updated. How to reduce energy consumption and human damage to nature while improving the living conditions of villagers? On basis of the previous investigation, eight courtyards were constructed in the Hexi Corridor. Land use of rural residences was analyzed first, and building energy consumption and carbon emission of the eight constructed courtyards were analyzed by using the software DesignBuilder. The relationship between carbon emission and energy consumption was fitted in the study. The Land use, energy consumption, and carbon emission, caused by the space design of the eight constructed courtyards were quantitatively analyzed, and the sustainable development law of local rural residence was revealed. The study is conducive to local rural ecological construction.
