ABSTRACT

Segmentation in leukemic blood cell images is one of the vital steps that has to be done after the pre-processing steps. In image segmentation images will be divided or partitioned in to parts known as segments. In this research work region based segmentation method has been used.[1] When compared with other methods of segmentation, the proposed optimised region based method provides good results when parameters such as DICE coefficient, Jaccard coefficient and time taken were evaluated. The proposed method has been compared with other two segmentation methods such as OTSU and RGS.
