ABSTRACT

The aim of this chapter is to show the link between critical success factors (CSFs) and workforce performance factors (WPF) in remanufacturing and form an interpretive structural model for the Indian remanufacturing industry. The approach of this chapter is to find critical remanufacturing factors, and these factors have a positive impact on workforce performance.

The current work developed the research instruments for remanufacturing industry. The result of this research study has established the strong and weak links between critical remanufacturing factors and workforce performance measure factors.

From the analysis, it is clear that the top management's commitment and involvement have most influenced the critical success of remanufacturing. It is also clear that if any process is not financially viable, no industry will be able to stay in business.

The chapter identifies the practices for remanufacturing industries. It also compared the remanufacturing enablers on the degree of performance to measure the relative weights of CSFs toward implementation issues in manufacturing industries.

The research has been utilized to prepare a model for workforce performance measurement factors (output parameters) for establishing remanufacturing and implementation in manufacturing industries.
