ABSTRACT

Variable renewable energy sources, also known as intermittent renewable energy resources, are renewable energy sources that are difficult to dispatch due to their fluctuating nature. This study primarily focused on intermittent renewable energy sources and its power storage mechanisms during unfavorable climatic conditions. This also gives an overview on the need for intermittent renewable energy sources for given and sustainable environment. It ensures stable power supply and fuel diversification, which improves energy security and reduces the risk of fuel spills. Intermittent renewable resources also contribute to the conservation of the country’s natural resources. This resource’s most efficient application is turning it into chemical energy that can be stored in batteries. Industry technology must continue to evolve, building on previous triumphs, in order to improve dependability, boost capacity factors, and lower production costs. Renewable energy is significant because it has the ability to provide a constant supply of electricity without depleting natural resources. While lowering the need for imported fuels, there is also a lesser danger of environmental issues such as oil spills and minor emissions issues. Renewable energy could cover the electricity needs for years to come with reliable supplies and fuel variety. Diversification helps to lessen reliance on imported fuels. It generates a lot of economic development and opportunity by increasing the long-term viability of these resources, therefore reducing their volatility.
