ABSTRACT

According to a Statista report, the cyberspace population reached more than half the world’s human population with 4.66b active Internet users (59.5% of the human population) as of January 2021. Given these figures, cyberspace is the new place for social, political, and economic activities – private and public, or both [1]. With around 60% of the human population roaming the Internet actively, cyberspace inherits all the traits of homosapiens, including indulgence in criminal activities – called cybercrimes.
