ABSTRACT

The efficiency of the Fenton process is influenced by several significant parameters, including the pH value, the concentration and dose of hydrogen peroxide, the effect of temperature, and the reaction time. The highest efficiency of the process is achieved at lower pH values, however, research is ongoing to improve the efficiency of the process in an inert environment. In addition, the presence of ions present in the solutions, and organic matter could reduce the efficiency of the process, and have a significant impact of the decomposition pollutant. Moreover, the individual process parameters interact with each other to accelerate or delay the reduction of pollutants during the process.
