ABSTRACT

The expansion of the Internet throughout the world has made it possible for individuals from all over the world to communicate with one another in modern learning model. Human-to-human communication has been superseded by connections between humans and machines, as well as connections between machines themselves, thanks to the rise of the Internet of Things (IoT). That's why IoT now encompasses such a wide range of human endeavors, from healthcare to transportation to education, where it's been shown to greatly enhance both. Here, we discuss its application to several areas of schooling, such as social science instruction, online education, and student-centered learning in smart city ecosystem. When it comes to rapidly establishing causal relationships between physical objects, the IoT presents the greatest challenge. Several review articles have compiled and assessed the research on the IoT' use and its use as mobile technology (mobitech) in numerous fields. But this chapter falls short of providing a holistic view of how IoT is being used and how learning activities based on IoT are being designed to improve teamwork. Thus, the primary goal of this research is to detail recent advances in the implementation of IoT applications in the classroom and to highlight numerous opportunities and challenges for further exploration. This chapter focuses on the potential adoption of wearable technology, the presence of IoT using the Pinterest app in the classroom, and how IoT-Pinterest based deployments help participants improve their social collaboration through the use of technology tools that encourage them to be active learners and preserve the skills they acquire in class.
