ABSTRACT

The development of measurement alternatives and ranking according to compromise solution (MARCOS) method is based on specifying the relationship between the alternatives and reference values. Based on these relationships, the corresponding utility functions of the considered alternatives are calculated, and a compromise ranking is formulated with respect to the ideal utility functions. Biswas proposed the integrated application of PIPRECIA, MABAC, CoCoSo, and MARCOS methods for solving a supplier selection problem in an Indian healthcare unit. The FUCOM method was first employed to estimate the significance of the criteria, while MARCOS method was applied to evaluate the potential solutions. Ghaleb et al. applied various MCDM techniques, like AHP, TOPSIS, and VIKOR methods in order to identify the most suitable manufacturing process for a submersible water pump driven by a built-in submersible motor driving multistage impeller/diffuser set. The considered product consisted of two sub-assemblies enclosed with two end supports, within a stainless steel tube.
