ABSTRACT

The Analytic Network Process (AHP) and an analytic network process (ANP) are the two most popularly employed Multi-Criteria Decision-Making techniques to aid the decision-makers in selecting the best choice under situations characterized by multiple conflicting criteria. The ANP is a generic form of AHP to allow more complex interdependence relationships among different elements. The ANP provides a broad framework for dealing with decision-making problems that does not rely on assumptions about the independence of higher-level components from lower-level elements or independence of elements within a level. For any manufacturing organization, selection of the most apposite green supplier is a complex decision-making task due to the involvement of various experts from different related departments, like procure-ment, planning, production, quality control, etc.
