ABSTRACT

Drawing on the advent of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), enormous developments have revolutionized society, bringing new leaps forward in the creation of smart Internet of Things (IOT) devices. The current trend of IoT-enabled tethered UAVs with their distributed support for navigational interlocation services, such as low latency, rapid data dissemination, and scalable architectures, is being observed in remote retail centers and hubs. Connecting users closer to the resources makes for a user-friendly experience. Given such novel thoughts, the Indian government has deployed 5G networks and services across the industrial boundaries as well as being dispersed geologically. However, this increases the susceptibility of UAVs to attacks when in passive mode. To leverage the large-scale susceptibility, there is a need for effective heuristic techniques. This chapter provides various susceptibility challenges of UAVs with on-board IoT payloads and provides an insight with appropriate heuristics to mitigate various pitfalls.
