ABSTRACT

When the surface layer of a deep soft soil foundation is super soft soil, the surface layer of silt or super-soft soil foundation reinforced with a bamboo grid can meet the requirements of construction equipment. The existing calculation methods and calculation parameters of bearing capacity that soft soil foundation reinforced by bamboo grid mainly references to geotextile reinforced foundation. In this paper, the bearing characteristics of soft soil foundations reinforced by the bamboo grid and flow-solidified silt are studied by model test. The test results show that the addition of basalt fiber improves the failure mode of the flow-solidified silt composite foundation, and avoids brittle cracking when the impact shear failure occurs; when the curing age is 3d, 5d and 7d, the ultimate bearing capacity of bamboo grid and solidified silt foundation increases by 25.4%, 32.9% and 40.1% respectively; with the increase of age, the pressure diffusion angle of the bamboo grid and solidified silt layer increases slightly, and the addition of fiber increases the pressure diffusion angle; the pressure diffusion angle of cement flow-solidified silt layer is 35.3° ~ 42.5°, and that of fiber flow-solidified silt layer is 37.2° ~ 47.2°.
