ABSTRACT

In order to study the influence of the internal structure on the mechanical properties of the tunnel under earthquake action, this paper relies on a shield tunnel project across the river, and establishes a three-dimensional solid numerical calculation model by the finite difference software FlAC3D, considering the internal structure of the tunnel. This paper analyses the seismic response of the tunnel by the characteristics of the displacement of the tunnel, acceleration and stress. The results show that the displacement, acceleration and stress of the tunnel are improved when the internal structure is considered. The maximum transverse diameter deformation rate and vertical diameter deformation rate are greatly reduced when the internal structure is considered compared with when the internal structure is not considered. Considering the internal structure can effectively improve the seismic response characteristics of tunnels, which should be considered in seismic design.
