ABSTRACT

This paper reviewed the development, status, direction, and research results of prefabricated building technology for specific applications in certain buildings. It was necessary and demanding to apply low-carbon green prefabricated building technology in such specific buildings. The value to study the low-carbon prefabricated building technology application was evaluated and clarified. The new technology of prefabricated building was generalized and introduced with respect to characteristics and application potential. From the example of a specific canteen building design on basis of modular design combined with prefabrication, green and low-carbon environmental protection measures, use of new material, and new energy technology, it was concluded that low-carbon prefabricated building technology can be successfully applied in the specified building construction. As testified in the canteen design, a low-carbon intelligent canteen can be practically implemented with appropriate study and suitable technology. This study also provided a good example and reference for further application of prefabricated buildings in the specified building construction.
