ABSTRACT

With the development of the economy and society, there has been a massive increase in infrastructure construction, and road construction has shown a gradual growth trend in terms of quantity and scale. As an important part of transport infrastructure, the maintenance management and regulation of tunnels are particularly important. In this paper, the tunnel maintenance systems of developed countries such as the United States, the United Kingdom and France are selected for an in-depth study, briefly summarising the inspection categories, frequencies and assessment criteria in each country's specifications. On this basis, the similarities and differences between domestic and foreign inspection systems and assessment methods are analysed and compared, providing a reference for the development of maintenance work in domestic operational highway tunnels, which is of great importance to Chinese enterprises participating in major infrastructure construction projects abroad. It is of great importance for Chinese enterprises to participate in major infrastructure projects abroad.
