ABSTRACT

At present, the application of 3D design and BIM technology in hydraulic engineering has changed from single specialty and single stage to the whole process and multi-specialty cooperation. It is difficult for a single software platform to meet the needs of the 3D design application in the whole process, so the multi-software collaborative design has become the main strategy at present. In the design of the K25 karst cave centralized control building of Wudongde Hydropower Station, due to the difficulties such as the complex terrain environment, building special-shaped surfaces, and complex internal structure, multi-software is used to complete the whole process of 3D design from scheme to construction drawing. In this paper, we have completed the modeling and BIM model integration of cave inwall, concrete backfill, special-shaped curtain wall, and other complex shapes through the collaboration of SketchUp, Rhino, Revit, and other 3D design software, Finally, the construction drawings are generated from BIM model. As a multi-software collaborative design technology practice, the design of the K25 karst cave centralized control building not only provides a reference for the 3D design of similar hydraulic projects, but also lays a foundation for multi-platform data fusion in the later stage of the project.
