ABSTRACT

From the perspective of the interrelationship among space, people, and social activities, and based on field visits and questionnaires, the existing spatial problems and the current situation of spatial use in the old residential life circle were fully understood. At the same time, the needs of residents for space, facilities, and landscape were analyzed. Meanwhile, the spatial syntax theory and Depthmap technology were used to deeply explore the structural relationship of the outdoor activity space in the old residential life circle. Four new ideas for planning and design will improve the spatial efficiency of the old residential life circle.
