ABSTRACT

The wind-bearing capacity of PV roof systems is a part of structural safety that cannot be ignored. PV roof systems are damaged due to insufficient wind-bearing capacity. Numerical analyses were carried out on a typical type of connection for PV roofs. The bearing capacity and weak position of PV roof connections under wind-uplift load were investigated through reasonable simplification, and the main design parameters of aluminum alloy clamps in connections, such as side thickness, bottom thickness, and bottom width, were analyzed parametrically. Based on the analysis results, the influence law of each parameter on the bearing capacity of the connection was summarized. The parameter setting table for different wind-uplift load design values was obtained, the bearing capacity calculation formula of the connection was fitted, and design suggestions for the actual design were given finally.
