ABSTRACT

In this study, activated carbon powder (ACP) was added to asphalt to replace part of common filler (mineral powder, MP) and the rheological performance was investigated. Technique for Order Preference by Similarity to an Ideal Solution (TOPSIS) was tried to optimize the ACP proportion by evaluating the comprehensive rheological behavior. Results showed that high temperature elasticity of asphalt was enhanced by adding ACP. Ratio of creep rate and stiffness (m/S) reduced with addition of ACP. Asphalt mastic interaction ability were strongly enhanced when replacing part of filler with ACP. Asphalt mastic with filler proportion of 40% ACP and 60% MP had the largest relative closeness value in TOPSIS analysis.
