ABSTRACT

Due to the complexity of the current standards for evaluating and categorizing pavement technical conditions, they are not conducive to making precise maintenance decisions. Therefore, this paper proposes the “Three Colors” comprehensive evaluation method and develops a highway “Three Colors” visual maintenance management system based on GIS and big data technology. The “Three Colors” refers to “Green, Yellow, and Red”, establishing an evaluation index system and determining the boundary ranges for the indicators. In the system, each road segment is visualized and macroscopically displayed on the map, providing a basis for subsequent maintenance decisions. This system offers robust maintenance decision support for highway management departments, assisting them in making informed decisions, saving maintenance funds, providing efficient guidance for highway industry management, and promoting green and low-carbon development in the highway sector.
