ABSTRACT

Pneumonia is an infection that affects the lungs and can cause severe respiratory problems. The infection causes inflammation in the lungs, leading to a range of symptoms, including cough, fever, and breathlessness. One of the most common diagnostic methods for pneumonia is chest x-ray (CXR) imaging, which is used to visualize the lungs and identify any signs of inflammation or infection. In recent years, advances in machine learning (ML) algorithms have led to the development of artificial intelligence (AI)-powered systems that can assist radiologists in detecting and diagnosing pneumonia. The x-ray images that were used were obtained by participating in a competition that was held on Kaggle and was supplied by Paul Mooney. ML is a subfield within the umbrella of AI that enables computers to learn. Finding the hyperplane that most effectively divides data points into their respective categories is the key to its operation.
