ABSTRACT

For a sustainable environment, using organic food trays for tomato planting is typical in smart homes. The tomato is an ingredient used in meal preparation in every home. People frequently maintain gardens on their little balconies or terraces, but owing to our busy lifestyles nowadays, we are unable to properly care for our plants, which causes insects to land on them or for them to dry up. This study recommends pesticide usage coupled with a method for detecting and identifying eight distinct pests in tomato leaves. One of the biggest issues in farming is pests; if they were recognized and pesticides used, a lot of money and manpower would be spared. An app is developed to allow users to view their green city at anytime, from anywhere. Machine learning techniques are used. The aim is to develop a system that can identify pests in crops and prescribe the appropriate treatment in real time.
