Cities have been compelled to increase resource efficiency, reduce resource consumption, and lower environmental impacts as natural resources become scarcer. Smart cities are those that bridge the gap between sustainability goals and urban development plans, thereby assisting citizens. Because resources are scarce, they should be used wisely so that our future has some bright spots. By fabricating, consuming, and marshalling different workstations and other computer-related products in an ecological way, green IT diminishes the harmful effects of IT activities on the atmosphere. By using green computing techniques, businesses are better equipped to cut their additional costs. Smart cities are places where technology benefits citizens. Humans need to contribute to energy conservation and environmental sustainability. Cities that foster a robust way of life must be built sustainably. While most of the world still has a long way to go, some cities are already using Internet of Things technology to suit their current and future demands. The authors set out to find which cities are utilizing cutting-edge technology to remain connected and improve sustainability. According to their analysis, Copenhagen is the most environmentally responsive smart green city. This transformation takes on urgency when we recognize how technology is being incorporated into previously unrelated facets of life.
