ABSTRACT

A Smart Ubiquitous Chatbot based Café for Human Emotional Analysis and Coffee Brewing is characterized by persistent sadness and lack of interest or pleasure. Depression is a mood disorder and it is observed that more than 264 million people (of all ages) around the world have suffered. Depression is different from usual mood fluctuations and short-lived emotional responses to challenges in everyday life and may become a serious health condition when it lasts long with moderate or severe intensity. On the other hand, Coffee – a brewed drink prepared from roasted coffee beans, the seeds of berries from certain coffee species is a famous stress buster. It is observed that chlorogenic acid, ferulic acid and caffeic acid have the ability to reduce the inflammation of nerve cells that takes place in the brains of people with depression, thus relieving some of the discomfort and distress due to depression. Hence, this study focuses on developing a Café that utilizes a smart ubiquitous chatbot to understand emotions (stress, depression, happiness, etc.) and brew a perfect cup of coffee for them. Natural language processing techniques and rule-based algorithms were applied for making that perfect cup of coffee.
