ABSTRACT

In an era where information has become wealth, we are used to handle high quantity of data in the form of images. Lots of images containing text is regularly circulated among students and business individuals either through personal chats or emails. This excessive distribution leads to a disorganized setup where it takes a significant amount of time to find the image resource that we need from the huge image collection on our physical storage. With the help of optical character recognition algorithms, it is possible to extract the text from an image, which will be paired with the respective image. The images can be searched with the help of keywords given by the user. By comparing the keyword with the extracted text of each image, the resultant matching images will get displayed. We will also provide constraints based on image metadata, which includes parameters such as date. Each individual image will be provided with options to share it to various communication platforms. Along with it, if multiple images are shown as result, we offer a PDF generation function which would compile the respective images into a single PDF file.
