ABSTRACT

Industry 4.0, the Fourth Industrial Revolution, transforms industry with automation, data interchange, and digital technologies. Cyber-physical systems, Internet of Things, artificial intelligence, and cloud computing improve efficiency, productivity, and flexibility. Smart factories, real-time data-driven decision-making, and integrated processes define this advanced manufacturing revolution. Industry 4.0 is revolutionizing several domains, like healthcare, supply chain, smart cities, education, etc. But there are many challenges, like the cost of investment, data security, interoperability issues, change management, legal compliance, etc., in the deployment of Industry 4.0 real-life applications. These challenges open future research directions for scholars and researchers.
