ABSTRACT
Although feasibility in cell culture techniques has brought ease to leading research, a major bottleneck that hinders the growth of cells and increases the costs involved is contamination with bacteria and fungi. Hence, the detection of bacterium and fungi at the earliest point helps to save time and consumables. This chapter briefs the detection technique employed to identify bacterium and fungi.
