ABSTRACT
An integral part of any investigation involving protein isolation, purification, characterization, and analysis is protein quantification. Assays for proteins based on calorimetric rely on the fact that certain metal ions and dyes bond to proteins at specific mass ratios. Once they are bound, they develop intense change of color, which can be detected at appropriate wavelengths.
