ABSTRACT
Cell counting has become an essential method for monitoring the viability and proliferation of cells. A hemocytometer is the standard device used to measure cell numbers in most laboratories. The number of mammalian cells in a defined volume of the medium can be measured using a hemocytometer. Step-by-step procedure for using a hemocytometer is discussed in this chapter.
