ABSTRACT

To categorize the important factors that affect the tribocorrosion processes and behavior, this research analyzes the literature on the tribocorrosion characteristics of several materials used in orthopedic implants made utilizing additive manufacturing. Studies on the mechanics of lubrication and friction in synovial joints have also been taken into consideration. There is also a part devoted to the texturing of implants. The report goes into additional detail regarding the many research difficulties and problems associated with the usage of additive manufacturing for the creation of improved orthopedic implants.
