ABSTRACT

The analysis of traffic characteristics is an important basis for traffic planning and management. The spatial layout of the clustered city makes its traffic flow show the characteristics of multi-center dispersion. How to grasp the differences between each group and accurately analyze the travel characteristics of residents is the key problem of urban transportation planning in clustered cities. This paper takes Shijiazhuang as an example. Based on the spatial information extraction of mobile signaling data, combined with the spatial structure, industrial layout, and population position distribution, the interaction relationship between urban form and residents’ transportation characteristics is deeply analyzed. The results show that the spatial separation of employment and residence will lead to higher transportation demand and cost, and the commuting volume between groups is increasing. Various urban functions of groups should be improved as soon as possible to make each group center has a strong centripetal force and anti-magnetic force. At the same time, a multi-level and high-standard rapid transport network should be built to accelerate the integration of groups.
