The economic and social relationship between China and the five Central Asian countries has been closer than before, which puts forward the higher requirement for transport connectivity. To fully tap the potential of the capacity of transport infrastructure in the five Central Asian countries, this paper analyzes the important factors affecting the development of transport infrastructure in the five Central Asian countries from 1997 to 2018. By constructing the evaluation index system and using the factor analysis method, this paper reveals the developing trend and capacity of transport infrastructure in the above countries. The research result shows that the development of the economy and society and the improvement of railway service capacity play key roles in the sustainable development of transportation. The transportation infrastructure development capacity of the five Central Asian countries shows an overall rising trend, indicating that China and the five Central Asian countries will have greater opportunities to strengthen cooperation.
