ABSTRACT

Green port has become an important part of the sustainable development of world transportation. The evaluation of port development has become particularly significant during the standardization of green port construction. However, due to the diversities of ports, there are few studies on the evaluation of inland ports. It is increasingly essential to establish a scientific and effective evaluation system for green port development to promote the universality of standards. This paper established the comprehensive evaluation index system of Suzhou green port development and determined the index weights based on Analytic Hierarchy Process. By analyzing the evaluation results, this paper put forward several development and management strategies for different ports. The research can provide references for promoting the coordinated development of port operation and environmental protection, and further realizing the sustainable development of port resources.
