ABSTRACT

With 60Si2MnA spring steel as research material, standard compact tensile C (T) specimens were used to carry out tests and research. Neutral salt spray corrosion test and fatigue crack growth test for 25, 40, 60, and 90 days were carried out to discuss the influence of neutral salt spray corrosion on fatigue crack growth rate in different periods, and to carry out electron microscope scanning analysis on fatigue fracture. The results show that the salt spray corrosion period has no significant effect on the fatigue crack growth rate of 60Si2MnA steel, and each fatigue fracture has no obvious change with the increase of corrosion time.
