ABSTRACT
Over the years there has been a multifold increase in the number of vehicles, both commercial and personal, across the world. One major problem faced by all is the availability of adequate parking spaces. Even if a public parking space is available, it can be very difficult to find the nearest one. To solve these problems, authors have proposed a prototype of a smart parking system using open-source web application (Web-App). In this work, we have designed, developed and tested the working of an Internet of Things (IoT)-based parking system using Web-App. The developed prototype is a low-cost, easy-to-implement-and-integrate system for both vehicle owners and parking administrators.
