ABSTRACT

In the current generation, neural networks are used in various sectors like education, finance, speech recognition, face detection, aerospace, automotive, transport, stock market prediction, transportation, etc. Transportation system plays a vital role in economic development. Sustainable and acceptable artificial neural networks (ANNs) techniques are used to make the transportation system intelligent. We use neural network approaches for various transportation issues like traffic forecasting, route planning, vehicle number plate detection, parking space identification, vehicle density, travel time, autonomous vehicle, vehicle location, vehicle speed, driver behavior, traffic management, etc. The neural networks algorithm helps to make the decision like human beings. So, this chapter presents intelligence in the transportation system through the efficient implementation of neural networks. Neural Network simplified design configuration is the added advantage for making the intelligent transportation system.
