ABSTRACT

Based on the simultaneous implementation of hydraulic fill engineering and urban rail transit construction in a coastal city, the research studied the open excavation technology with the cofferdam from the aspects of design and construction. According to the weight and size of the main components of the shield, the design parameters of the steel bridge were proposed. The earth-rock cofferdam structure with clay as the core wall and the enclosure structure of the open-cut subway station considering the anti-floating were researched. And the main parameters for the reinforcement design of shield ends under the condition of high water level were discussed in detail. Especially, the influences of the water level change on hydraulic characteristics such as the cofferdam seepage path, the pore water pressure, and the slope safety factor were studied theoretically. Finally, the safety and feasibility of the implementation of urban rail transit construction under the impact of land reclamation by hydraulic fill for building islands were verified by the site measurement results.
