ABSTRACT

The shear performance and bearing capacity of the building structure are directly related to the overall safety and stability of the building. Taking the prestressed steel plate hoop-fastened concrete short column as an example, the shear performance of the component is analyzed, and the overall bearing capacity is calculated. By making prestressed steel plate hoop-fastened concrete short column specimens, and applying loads to them, the data generated during the load application process are collected, and images of the specimens are captured at the same time to record the failure state of the specimens. The results show that after the continuous application of load, the degree of damage on the surface of the specimen is deepened, and the cracks become longer, wider, and larger; and the shear capacity is decreasing. After calculation, the overall bearing capacity of the specimen is 852 kN, which can resist the shear force below this value and ensure the integrity of the specimen.
