ABSTRACT

To intuitively show the formation and development of cement paste during the steam-curing process, a hydration kinetic model of cement paste in the unsteady steam-curing process was established based on the relationship between the degree of hydration and water-to-cement ratio, temperature and time. The time-varying model of the porosity of cement pastes considering the temperature effect was proposed. The test results show that the established model can effectively predict the degree of hydration and porosity of cement pastes with different water-to-cement ratios under different steam-curing temperatures and times. The hydration rate of cement paste steam-cured under 80°C is 10 times faster than that under 20°C.
