ABSTRACT

Taking a long-span continuous rigid frame bridge as an example, this paper systematically introduces an operation safety detection method, which mainly judges whether the technical condition of the bridge meets the operation safety requirements by systematically detecting the appearance of distress. After three years of continuous detection, it is found that an increase in the number of cracks in the beam body is obvious, and there is a downward deflection trend in the center of the main span, so the technical condition of the bridge operation is evaluated as class 4. The load test was carried out on the bridge before reinforcement to ensure the safety bridges and provide a basis for later maintenance and reinforcement. The test results show that the actual bearing capacity of the bridge can still meet the normal operation requirements under design load, but the existing distresses of the bridge need to be treated through maintenance and reinforcement to improve emergency capacity and slow down the development of the distresses.
